So I figured I should do some research before I vote for those pesky court elections. I hate that they plaster their websites with that independent court bullshit but don’t ever tell you where they stand in the issues or even their perspective of the constitution from a legal view. Arg… Anyway, after looking around here’s what I've come up with. If you're unsure for yourself and you agree with my politics, I suggest the below options:
My ballot:
US Senate: Al Franken (duh)
Minnesota Supreme Court and Appeals Court:
Seat 3: Paul H. Anderson (inc)
Seat 4: Lorie Skjerven Gildea (inc)
U.S. House: Keith Ellison (also duh)
4th District Court: Jane Ranum (check out her issues tracker for her last term as state senator here)
School board (3): Lydia Lee (inc, DFL endorsed), Jill Davis (DFL and Stonewall DFL endorsed), Carla Bates (DFL endorsed, out and partenered lesbian with 3 kids in public school)
